Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Maresdi ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia.

2. The Platform

Maresdi is a neutral online classifieds marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. We do not own any items listed on the Platform, and we are not a party to any transaction between users. All transactions are solely between the buyer and seller.

3. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful registration information.
  • Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Listings

By posting a listing you confirm that:

  • You have the right to sell the item.
  • The listing is accurate, not misleading, and uses real photos of the actual item.
  • The item is legal to sell in Namibia.
  • You will honour the price advertised.

Free accounts may have up to 10 active listings at a time. Listings expire after 20 days and must be reposted. Paid tier accounts have unlimited listings with no expiry.

5. Prohibited Content

The following are strictly prohibited on Maresdi:

  • Weapons, ammunition, or explosives.
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances.
  • Counterfeit or stolen goods.
  • Adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit content.
  • Endangered animals or protected wildlife products.
  • Misleading, fraudulent, or scam listings.
  • Any item whose sale is prohibited under Namibian law.

Violation will result in immediate listing removal and possible permanent account ban. We may report illegal activity to the Namibian Police Service (NamPol).

6. Paid Accounts

Paid tier accounts (Business, Agent, SME) require a one-time setup fee. Fees are non-refundable once the account is activated. Maresdi reserves the right to revoke a paid tier if the account is found to be in breach of these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

Maresdi provides the Platform "as is" without any warranties. We are not liable for:

  • The accuracy or quality of any listing.
  • Any loss arising from a transaction between users.
  • Fraud committed by third parties on or off the Platform.
  • Service interruptions or technical failures.

8. Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any listing, suspend, or permanently ban any account at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or harms the community.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
